Erected by STEWART SPENCE Manufacturer Bottlework in memory of his father THOMAS SPENCE who died the 1st Dec 1821 aged 68 years also his sister MARY who died the 28th June 1822 aged 24 years also his mother CATHERINE COLVILLE who died the 3rd Septr 1836 aged 68 years and his brother JAMES who died on his passage to America on the 14th Feby 1819 aged 27 years
