Inscription.

Erected by Alexander Kay Merchant Dundee and Margaret Wedderburn his spouse in memory of their sons John Wedderburn Kay who died the 17th March 1808 aged 10 months also John Wedderburn Kay died 27th Decr 1812 aged 3 years and 11 months. Likewise two that died in infancy and the above mentioned Margaret Wedderburn their mother the 10th Jany 1821 aged 38 years.

An upright stone—with on one side a coat of arms, bearing a bend-sinister, with an annulet in chief, and in base a sea-urchin holding in its mouth a key. Above the shield a flower for crest.

Motto, " In Deo Solo Spes Mea." ( My trust is in God only )
On the other side of the stone is the inscription :-
