To the memory of JAMES STEPHEN Surgeon in Dundee who died on the 11th day of March anno 1833, in the 30th year of his age this monument is raised by his widow to perpetuate the remembrance of his virtues as Husband, father and friend also of their daughter CATHERINE KEILLER STEPHEN who died 21st September 1838 aged 8 years and 2 months
