Sacred to the memory of ELISABETH STEWART wife of JOHN ALEXANDER born II July MDC CLXI died VII January MDCCCXXXIII a woman who adorned the humble sphere in which she moved with many virtyes courtious generous and affectionate she endeared herself to a numerous family and commanded the respect of all who knew her she died in humble dependence upon the merits of her redeemer and also her husband JOHN ALEXANDER who died XXII July MDCCCXXXIX aged IXXX also their daughter MARJORY ALEXANDER or ROSS who died XX???
