1819 Erected by ROBERT GOWANS threadmaker Dundee in memory of his father WILLIAM GOWANS who died 23 December 1797 aged 72 years his mother ELIZABETH MUSTARD died in 1767 aged 38 years his mother in law ELIZABETH LINDSAY died 29th November 1816 aged 92 years Revised by JEAN ROSS spouse to ROBERT GOWANS who died 5th September 1837 aged 72 years.
