New Gravestone in the Dundee Howff
First for over 20 years
For the first time in over 20 years a grave stone was erected in the Howff Burying ground, Dundee, yesterday.
It bore the inscription "Robert Shepherd ; Wright, Dundee, died 22nd December 1836." Robert Shepherd was the great grand-father of Councillor A. Inglis Shepherd. Other ancestors of Councillor Shepherd are buried in the same spot. The old stone was becoming worn, and Councillor Shepherd decided to replace it with a new one.
