Erected By JOHN McLEAN carrier Lochee and HELEN SPEED his spouse in memory of his father WILLIAM McLEAN who died in Feb 1795 aged 42 years also of his mother JANET BELL who died 12th March 1828 aged 66 years also of their son JOHN who died 20th January 1825 aged 2 years the aforesaid JOHN McLEAN died on the 31st January 1853 aged 66 years
