Hic jacet Jacobi Paterson ibidem mercatoris Deidouani superdecti Thomas filii_________ quae charo conjuge__________ liberis pretiebus superstitibus diem obiit supremum xii Kal. Julii A.M.C MDCCXXIX aet LII Here lies James Paterson, also Merchant in Dundee, son of the above said Thomas, who his dear wife____ and precious children surviving, died on the 12th of the calends of july in the year of the Christian era 1729, aged 52.
