Euphemia Lyon uxor Dundie Davidis Sandieman mercatoris taodunensis quae diem obiit 8 id Oct anno AE C. 1742 aetatis suae vigesimo primo 21, hic sita est femina pia prudens multum dilecta quae puro semper Christo flagrabat amore. Cito elabitur aetas. Erected by David Sandieman to Euphemia Lyon, died 8th October 1742 aged 21 Claimant: Family of the Sandemans. Source:Register of Tombs and Monuments in Dundee Burial Ground, 1832 To Euphemia Lyon, wife of David Sandieman, Merchant in Dundee, who died the 8th day of ides of October, in the year of the Christian era 1742, and of her age 21. Here lies a pious, prudent, much beloved woman, who always burned with a pure love to christ. Life soon glides away. In memory of Miss Catherine Sandieman, who died 25th May 1821, and of Miss Catherine Sandieman, who died 25th November 1821, daughters of Mr David Sandieman, the former aged 74, the latter 66 years.
