1829 This stone is Erected By THOMAS GRAY Lieutenant of the Royal Navy in memory of his mother MARTHA FINDLAY who died on the 20th Feb 1829 aged 75 years and of his father ROBERT GRAY who died on the 22nd February 1841 aged 93 years The above mentioned Lieutenant THOMAS GRAY died the 18th September 1845 aged 58 years also his sister JANET who died the 14th of August 1849 aged 72 years
