Why do you weep for me as dead,

Since I am only gone.

To Jesus my exalted head,

To worship at his throne.

I go to see my saviours face,

Through Everlasting Day;

I fly to his Divine Embrace,

And join the Heavenly Ray.

James Low, feuer of Carnoustie, 17th March 1836.
