On William Playfair, who died December 14, 1735.
Beneath this Stone, survivors did inter
The Breathless Corps of William Playfair
He was not fully Eighteen years of age
When he of flow'ring worth, quit the Stage
Some Golden Beams of Heavenly virtues strove
To hold his life unstain'd—His thoughts on things above.
