Inscription.

The original inscription was removed to be inscribed with that below, however part of the original was left on one corner. "WHAT 1679".

Sacred to the memory of Agnes Pinkerton, spouse to the Revd Malcom Colquhoun, who died the 26th April 1818, in full assurance of a glorious immortality. Also here deposited the remains of the Revd Malcom Colquhoun, who was for twenty four years a faithful, affectionate, and labourous minister of Gospel in the Gailic Chapel of Dundee. He died the 18th of March 1819, aged 62 years.

1844 Oct 9 Revisal dues paid by Gaelic Congregation for liberty to erect a headstone in this space to the memory of William Mc Alister in terms of a minute of the Hospital Committee of 28 Sept 1844
