Inscription.

 BADLY ERODED

1824 Sacred to the memory of John Watt, Surgeon, who departed this life XVII December MDCCCXXIII in the XXIV year of his age. This stone was erected by his disconsolate father David Watt.
Modest worth shone conspicuous in every stage of his passage thro' this life, he was easly and gently removed to a purer mansion.
