Stone No.1319

Inscription.

1814. Erected by David Watson, Merchant, Tailor in Dundee, in memory of his father who died 4th May 1807, aged 46 years; and three brothers and three sisters who are all interred here. And also his son Henry who died the 3rd May 1817, aged one years.

What is wretched man, Jehovah ?

Earthly man of woman born;

Few of days and full of sorrow,

floating as the dew of morn.

Vain are all his hopes and wishes,

As a dream he glides away;

Death at once his beauty crushes,

And returns unto the clay.
