 Erected

By DAVID SMYTH

mason Hawkhill in memory

of his son WILLIAM

who died 22 September 1804

aged 3 years

Fair was the promise of that flowers,

But short alas! its destined hour,

And might at once the opening bud,

But the rise a country o'er whose plains,

Eternal spring unfading reigns;

There Jesus all his glory wears,

And God's eternal throne appears.
