Erected by David Sturrock Shipmaster Dundee In memory of his wife Margaret Donald Who died 15 Sept 1853 aged 54 Also of their children Andrew and Isabella Who died in infancy Their son David Who was accidentally shot at Davis Straits on the 26th June 1846 Aged 16 Also his Mother Elizabeth Andrew Died 31st Jany 1837 aged 72 His father Thomas Sturrock Died 12 Nov 1847 aged 82 His Grandchild Margaret Sturrock Died 20th Jany 1854 aged 4 All of whom are interred here The above David Sturrock Was washed overboard the Whale ship Heroine On the 29th March 1854 aged 55
