Erected by THOMAS ERSKINE shipmaster Dundee in memory of his spouse JANE LOW who died 11th November 1836 aged 41 years also their children DAVID who died 10th November 1821 aged 10 years JAMES who died 9th March 1824 aged 2 months THOMAS who died 31st may 1833 aged 17 years The above THOMAS ERSKINE died on the 2nd February 1846 aged 64 years Original Inscription. 1819 Erected by Thomas Erskine, Shipmaster, Dundee, and his spouse Jean Low, in memory of his father James Erskine, who died 6th August 1809, aged 74 years; also his mother Isobel Patterson, who died 14th March 1820, aged 74 years; and their son David who died November 1821, aged 10 weeks, their son James who died 9th March 1824, aged two months, their son Thomas who died 31st March 1833, aged 17 years.
