John Tindal died 14 December 1591 aged 26

His father the late David Tindal.

Hic conditus est Ihoannes Tindal pistor Deidoni filius olim Davidis Tindal qui obiit 14 Decembris anno domini 1591 aetatis suae 26. Mors inevitabilis est igitur orate et vigilate ae expectate domini adventuom.

Here lies John Tindal, Baker in Dundee, son of the late David Tindal, who died 14th December in the year of the Lord 1591, and of his age 26.
Death is inevitable, therefore watch and pray, and look for the coming of the Lord.

Burial place of Tindals, 1591, 1600, 1694. The Tindals were the principal bakers in Dundee for upwards of 200 years, and heald the office of Deacon of the Bakers for several generations. Tindal`s Wynd, High Street, receives its name from David Tindal, who died December 1591
