To the memory of DUNCAN McKAY Gardener who died 6th Febr 1821 aged 82 years and his spouse JANET IMRIE who died 7th Nov:r 1799 aged 53 years and their children, viz JOHN who died 17th April 1771 aged 15 days ROBERT who died 23rd Novr 1775 aged 4 years MAGDALENE who died 4th Sepr 1775 aged 2 years, JOHN who died 15th April 1782 aged 11 days AGNES who died 15th Feby 1792 aged 12 years ALEXANDER who died 23rd April 1795 aged 10 years, JAMES who died 17th Jany 1799 aged 20 years, WILLIAM who died 17th June 1812 aged 24 years As a tribute of respect this stone was revised by his two daughters JANET and ANN The above JANET McKAY wife of ALEXANDER McPHERSON died 18th January 1835 aged 62 years the above ANN McKAY died 18th February 1859 aged 83 years The feeble babe, the hoary head, Must all be number'd with the dead, And in the grave must lie; Till the last trumpet send the skies, And thus proclaim, ye dead arise! The judgement great draws nigh.
