Here lyes ane Godly and vertous man James Pourie maltman burges in Dundie who departed this lyfe the 22 of January 98 and of his age 59 yeirs.

From dust I am thither doe returne
Who here adide, till Tribes of Earth shall mourn
While Heaven and Earth wrapt in a scroll shall be
and Christ, with saints, coming in clouds he be
When soul and body united shall again
be lifted up to Christ for to remain
