1844 Erected By ALEXANDER McKAY Wright, Hilltown Dundee in memory of his spouse ELIZABETH MAXWELL who died 21st June 1843 aged 63 years and of their daughter JANET who died 27th October 1843 aged 27 years their son ALEXANDER who died in 1805 in infancy and their son GEORGE, who died 16th October 1837, aged 29 years also his four children, who all died in infancy the above ALEXANDER McKAY died 9th may 1857 aged 85 years
