Inscription on Northern side
GEORGE second Son of the Rev JOHN RONBURGH died 7th April 1844 aged twenty three months. The reasoning for the scalloped lower corner is unknown. In all likelihood the corner was broken then carved in this fashion to key in a repair which has since fallen out. Old tomb, no inscription. Claimant: George Gray, wood merchant, Dundee Representatives of George Gray paid £3.3/- for a monument 21st Nov 1835 Source:Register of Tombs and Monuments in Dundee Burial Ground, 1832
