in memory of her husband
late shipmaster Dundee
who departed this life Dec 1836
in the 56th years of his life
painter Dundee died 12th July 1858
in the 55th year of his age
and is interred here
Lifes little stage is a small eminence
inch high the grave above that home of man
where dwells the multitude we gaze around
We read their monuments, we sigh and while
we sigh we sink, and are what we deplor`d
lamenting or lamented all our lot.
