1837 Erected By HELEN REID in memory of her husband ANDREW HOW late shipmaster Dundee who departed this life Dec 1836 in the 56th years of his life DAVID HYND painter Dundee died 12th July 1858 in the 55th year of his age and is interred here |
Lifes little stage is a small eminence inch high the grave above that home of man where dwells the multitude we gaze around We read their monuments, we sigh and while we sigh we sink, and are what we deplor`d lamenting or lamented all our lot. |
